Responsible for executing against the purchasing and supply management strategies created by the Category Managers. Work intimately with customers, divisions and the Category managers driving the \"One Abbott Procurement\" model. Provide superior levels of customer service and satisfaction while adhering to a strict standard of business ethics and integrity. The Sr. Specialist has delegated authority to commit company funds. This position will work on the definition and resolution of known or anticipated problems in value, quality, feasibility and specifications in the procurement of goods and services while contributing cost savings, partnerships with suppliers and other value added activities to support customer needs and expectations.

Leading People Responsible for leading and mentoring Associate Specialist and Specialist procurement personnel. Provides guidance and training to Specialist. Responsible to drive compliance with applicable Corporate and Divisional policies and procedures.
Accountability/Scope Executes against the goals set by the Category Leads /Managers/Directors Drive innovative ways to maintain and improve procurement processes, cycle times, total acquisition costs, and customer service levels.
