YOUR ROLE The Sales Planning and Forecasting Manager will be a part of an analytics team that provides business intelligence, performance metrics, strategic analysis, and forecasting to the sales and marketing teams of Genworth Mortgage Insurance. Reporting to the Director, Sales Force Effectiveness, this role will provide analytical support to commercial teams, including sales leaders, field and inside sales representatives, product management, account development, and customer experience teams. YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES You will drive efficiencies and enhancements in data environment, including data marts and BI tools You will ensure accuracy of results and validation of analytic methods You will collaborate with key business users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery You will assist in development and delivery of metrics, analysis and recommendations to support strategic decisions related to sales, products, pricing, and guidelines You will work collaboratively with commercial, risk, and finance groups to: Support product and pricing strategies for initiatives, including assessment of customer needs, market segmentation and customer profitability Bring visibility to how competitive dynamics influence Genworth market share, product mix, and pricing You will work with sales senior management and Corporate and National account managers to: Develop account level and segment level operating plans Identify trends and commercial impacts of business decisions Develop tools and perform ad hoc analyses to support the sales team as needed Assist in analyzing and interpreting the data Identify and prioritize growth opportunities when appropriate Centralize customer profile data for Corporate and National Accounts, ensuring current data and creating shared knowledge between customer solutions and sales teams You will utilize both internal and external market data to analyze market trends and estimate market distribution and Genworth share within specified sales and marketing segments You will lead a collaborative process to develop commercial operating reviews and deliver to Genworth??s Senior Leadership Team You will serve as analytics team liaison to chief economist of Genworth Mortgage Insurance You will provide the highest level of internal and external customer service YOUR QUALIFICATIONS Your bachelor??s degree in Finance, Business, or related discipline Your 7+ years business analytics and business support functions experience Your proven excellent analytical skills and business acumen Your ability to translate business needs into technical requirements Your ability to document and communicate analytical results to non-analytical business users and executive decision makers Your demonstrated ability to shape and implement business strategy, working with senior management Your proven ability to quickly grasp industry and business-wide concepts and translate into implementation programs Your demonstrated leadership in influencing and leading cross-functional teams on a variety of tasks Your ability to work with structured and unstructured data. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS Your certification and hands-on experience working with SAS (base SAS, EG, BI) as well as SAS statistical package Your experience with BI visualization software (Tableau Preferred) Your experience with logistic regression, time series, forecasting, optimization, and other predictive modeling techniques Your project management experience Your prior experience in the mortgage industry Your experience with macroeconomic models, particularly models of the mortgage and mortgage insurance markets Your ability to work extended hours as business dictates Associated topics: branch manager, director of sales, leader, regional sales manager, sales director, sales leader, sales manager, supervisor, team lead, team leader
