Proficient at medium/large scale cross-functional project management - schedule, scope and deliverable mgmt.
Plan and execute development (NPI) builds and ensure these products transition to production within cost, quality and capacity parameters.
Lead cross-functional teams within Facebook/Connectivity Lab and with external partners to prepare for production ramp and/or product transitions. Including solving x-functional conflict, project schedule delays and ensuring deliverables are produced on time.
Knowledgeable of EMS/ODM/JDM/OEM business models, consignment & turnkey materials management, cost modeling, supply chain design, and reverse logistics Experience with NPI product phase gate checklist items
Alignment of NPI BOMs to AVL and commodity technologies supplier strategies
Conduct supply risk assessment for lead-time, flexibility and cost to meet NPI schedules, communicate any adverse impacts. Complete TCO analysis to ensure project cost are meeting or beating cost objectives Basic understanding and/or hands on experience of principles and practices of purchasing, experience with RFI/RFQ's, materials requirements planning, purchasing law, and the ability to work with suppliers under minimum supervision. Help establish schedules & milestones and determine the activities necessary to meet them. Interactions involve strategic and tactical procurement activities in a global environment. Basic understanding of how server and networking products work / basic understanding of the systems architecture.
Candidate must have demonstrated an ability to drive a plan to bring resolution to differing opinions, reach out across functional boundaries to drive collaboration and share credit in a team environment. Candidate leads from a point of data. Solves problems with fact.
BA/BS or higher in engineering or technical field of study.
Minimum 7 years of experience in NPI or Product Management.
Commercial and technical knowledge of communication systems and antenna design in orbital, aerial and/or terrestrial systems - their operation and associated performance and cost models.
Experience in end-to-end software/hardware life cycle development management
